  • 1 lb Hatfield® Recipe Essentials™ Hot or Sweet Italian Ground Sausage
  • 1 lb bread dough, homemade or thawed if frozen
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup onion, sliced
  • ½ cup mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ cup red pepper, chopped
  • ½ cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • With greased fingers, pat dough on ungreased 12” pizza pan. Prick dough thoroughly with a fork.
  • Bake crust for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • In a large sauté pan on medium high heat, add oil. Sauté onions, mushrooms, and peppers together until soft. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add sausage and cook until no longer pink then drain. Add the vegetable mix to the sausage and combine.
  • Spread marinara sauce over crust. Top with sausage mixture and sprinkle cheese.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown.
