  • 1 lb Hatfield® Recipe Essentials™ Sweet Italian Ground Sausage
  • 2 flatbread pizza crusts
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 large red pepper, seeded and sliced
  • ¾ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a large sauté pan. Add onions and peppers, sauté until semi-tender, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes.
  • In a medium skillet on medium high heat, break sausage into pieces and cook until no longer pink.
  • Place flatbreads on baking sheet and brush with remaining olive oil. Place flatbreads in the oven and bake for 3 minutes. Remove from oven onto cutting board and add cheese, peppers, onion, and sausage. Add additional cheese on top.
  • Return flatbreads to oven on a baking sheet and cook for 8-10 minutes, until edges are slightly browned.
  • Remove from oven to cutting board. Cut into 6 to 8 pieces.
