  • 8 oz Hatfield® Recipe Essentials™ Chorizo Ground Sausage
  • 2 cups white onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • ⅛ tsp thyme
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • cup mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup scallions, chopped
  • Dash kosher salt
  • Tortilla chips or sliced baguette

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 2-cup baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a sauté pan over medium high heat, cook sausage, stirring and breaking up with a spoon. Cook until sausage is fully browned, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In another sauté pan over medium heat, add olive oil, onions, thyme, and salt. Lower heat to medium low and cook until the onions become soft and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl add the cream cheese and mix until smooth. Add mozzarella cheese, caramelized onions, green onions and mix well. Gently fold in chorizo.
  • Pour mixture into prepared baking dish. Place on baking sheet and bake for 12-18 minutes or until dip is golden and bubbly.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or sliced baguette.
