Ingredients:
  • 4 oz sugar
  • 2 oz glucose
  • 2 oz water
  • ¼ chopped pecans
  • ¼ cooked bacon bits
  • ½ oz butter
  • ½ Tbsp baking soda
  • ½ Tbsp vanilla
  • ¼ Tbsp salt

Directions:
  • Bring sugar, water, and glucose to a boil, skim impurities, and wash down 
sides of the pot with water.
  • Cook sugar to softball (239 F), add pecans, and continue cooking to caramel stage (320 F)
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in soft butter and bacon bits
  • Add Vanilla, baking soda and salt, stir to incorporate.
  • Pour onto silpat, spread thin/ very.
  • Cut into shapes while hot or cool and break
  • Allow to set at room temperature and cool completely
