Grillin' with the Guv
On August 17, Hatfield Quality Meats teamed up with the Governor’s office in Harrisburg to host the 3rd Annual Grillin’ with the Guv’ event - a free hot dog lunch served at the State House Capitol Building.
Approximately 1,500 state and government officials, members of the Boys & Girls Club of Central Pennsylvania, and many other hungry citizens of the Harrisburg area enjoyed a delicious grilled hot dog lunch, which helped celebrate the Governor’s Proclamation claiming this date as “Pennsylvania Hot Dog Day”.
The afternoon’s festivities were highlighted by appearances by Hatfield’s own Smiley as well as a special appearance by Governor Rendell. Rendell thanked Hatfield Quality Meats for their continued involvement in the community, and Phil Clemens, Chairman and CEO of the corporation, announced that Hatfield Quality Meats would be making a generous donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Central Pa, as well as a donation of thousands of hot dogs to local shelters in the Harrisburg region.
This event demonstrates the ongoing commitment of Hatfield Quality Meats in Sharing the Goodness with their community…a promise which has maintained the core values of the corporation for over one century.
