Hatfield Quality Meats recently released its much anticipated Hatfield Hot Dog Launcher Documentary. This documentary is a brief and humorous behind-the-scenes look at the making of Hatfield’s famous hot dog launcher, and can be seen by clicking here or by visiting YouTube.com and typing “Hot Dog Launcher” into the Search box.

“We are very proud to be a long time partner with the Philadelphia Phillies,” said Eric Haman, Corporate Communications Manager for the Clemens Food Group. “This crazy idea that became the hot dog launcher is a fun way that Hatfield has been able to partner with the Phillies to help create a very unique and memorable ballpark experience for the fans.”

The famous hot dog launcher, a collaborative brainstorm between Hatfield and the Philadelphia Phillies, made its first appearance in the mid-1990’s. In 2004, with the opening of the Phillies new ballpark, a new and improved launcher was introduced as a cannon style gun that shoots Phillies Franks to excited fans at distances of over a few hundred feet.

Hatfield Quality Meats has been a partner with the Phillies since the mid 1990’s, and is the producer of Phillies Franks, the hot dogs served at Citizens Bank Park, and which are also available at retail locations. In addition to Phillies Franks, Hatfield also supplies the ballpark with a wide array of other pork products such as sausage, kielbasa, ribs, barbeque, and a variety of deli products.
